DAY 01met at Beijing Airport and transfer
to the hotel. Afternoon, there is a short brief meeting
for the coming route. The rest time left you go around
for sightseeing or shopping.
DAY 02 Transfer to Shanhaiguan.
Our start point is the Old
Dragon Head known as the very east terminal
of the Great Wall. Crossing 5 km easy land, we will come
to the First
Pass Under Heaven and the Great Wall Museum
just next to the Pass. Lunch at Sitiao a delicious local
snack in Shanhaiguan. Then we proceed to Jiaoshan Mountain,
3 km from the old city. There we will have a chance to
experience the lake, mountain, plain and the vast sea
at the same time. Return by coach in the afternoon.
DAY 03
This morning we start at the south gate of Jiaoshan,
also named as the first mountain of the Great Wall. During
the trek we can overlook the Yansai Lake and enjoy a beautiful
view of the Longevity Mountain from distant. Crossing
the mountainous and rural region we come to Sandaoguan
Pass (the Three
Passes) where the Great Wall is famous for
the peculiar upside down phenomenon. Lunch serves as a
picnic. And if you are agree, it can be treated in a local
resident so that we will have a chance to appreciate people¡¯s
friendliness and hospitality.
DAY 04
Depart by coach for Funing County enclosed to Qinhuangdao.
After 45min ride we will come to Dongjiakou
Village. Trekking along the Great Wall, we find a well-protected
section. The towers are in their integrity and the inscriptions
on the arch are unique and wonderful. After 90min¡¯s trekking
we will take a short break at a riverbank. Lunch at a
local lodge that the host is also a member of the Institution
of the Great Wall. The house was built in the late Qing
Dynasty (1644-1911), so an old house indeed. After lunch,
our trek will be continued. It will finish at Pingdingyu,
a perfect site for camping and we are free to explore
an exciting landscape there. Return in the afternoon.
DAY 05
Depart for Tangshan of Hebei Province by coach. Enjoy
a brief tour to the new city rebuilt after the destructive
earthquake in 1976. Then trekkers will continue at the
Eastern
Qing Tombs, an imperial burial ground that
included on the World Heritage List. In the afternoon,
we transfer to Huangyaguan of Jixian enclosed to Tianjing.
Huangyaguan was a vital pass in ancient time as it was
an access to Beijng, Tianjing and Hebei Province. Combat
tower is not in a large amount but they are various in
shape and materials. Finally our trek will be followed
by a tour about the old Huangyaguan city where the road
is in a shape of letter ¡°T¡±. Transfer to Miyun in late
afternoon.
DAY 06
In the morning, depart for Miyun County by coach. We will
continue the trek along the most famous and cragged section
of the Great Wall. There are the Ladder to the Heaven,
Fairy tower, Wangjinglou and also the ¡°One-side Wall¡±
at Simatai.
And Jinshanling,
with a total length of 10.5 km, is famous for its special
parapet. The trek will last for 6 hours with a picnic
lunch as a break.
DAY
07 Today we will go on our trip at Mutianyu
in Huairou County that enclosed to Beijing. The environment
there will refresh us as the forests covers nearly 96%
of the region. This magnificent section is particular
in its main tower. It consisted of three terraced tower
with the middle one larger then the two ones beside. During
our trekking, we can also find some branch walls that
for an accessorial use. Lunch in a local restaurant.
DAY 08
Lie fallow before home. In the morning we visit the world¡¯s
largest public square, then cross the bridge into the
Forbidden
City. Our tour will be ended with a visit to
the Temple
of Heaven, a masterpiece of 15th century architecture.
At night, you will be treated to the world famous Peking
Duck Cuisine.
DAY 09 After breakfast, we should make
careful preparations before leave and then check out from
the hotel.

3 star hotel in city, based on double occupancy
(encourage bring room-mate), singles are available
for a supplement. Twin-share clean hotel in county
and village. 2.Meal: Chinese style lunch and
dinner as specified in the hotel whole tour itinerary
including American breakfast, camping food, necessary
simple picnic lunch while trekking on the wall. 3.Transportation: Transportation
in conjunction with the walks including with baggage
transport from hotel to hotel 4.Guide: Professional English
speaking tour guide who also registered at CMA (Chinese
Mountaineering Association) as hiking leader, good
knowledge of Great Wall & Chinese history. 5.Equipment using (free):
